Kraken Parent Payward Links With Singapore Gulf Bank for Round-the-Clock Settlement

Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, has partnered with Singapore Gulf Bank to deliver continuous, real-time settlement infrastructure for institutional digital asset markets in Asia and the Gulf region, the companies announced Oct. 4, 2026.
The integration centers on SGB Net, Singapore Gulf Bank's real-time clearing network, which allows institutional clients to settle transactions instantly regardless of the time of day or day of the week — eliminating the delays that have historically accompanied traditional settlement windows in cross-border digital asset trading.

As part of the broader agreement, Singapore Gulf Bank will also onboard Kraken Prime as an additional source of digital asset liquidity, deepening the exchange's footprint among institutional counterparties operating across two of the world's fastest-growing financial corridors.
The partnership reflects a wider industry push to bring bank-grade settlement reliability to digital asset markets, where institutional adoption has been constrained in part by the absence of always-on clearing infrastructure. By anchoring the arrangement through a licensed banking entity, both firms are signaling a preference for regulated rails over purely crypto-native settlement mechanisms.
