Bitso Handles Nearly 15% of US-Mexico Remittance Flow
Latin America's largest crypto fintech processed roughly one in seven dollars sent from the US to Mexico in the first eight months of 2026.
Bitso, Latin America's largest digital financial services company, processed 14.7% of all remittances flowing from the United States to Mexico between January and August 2026, the company announced from Mexico City on Oct. 5, 2026.
The figures mean that approximately one in every seven dollars crossing the US-Mexico remittance corridor during that period moved through Bitso's infrastructure — a significant share of one of the world's busiest money-transfer routes.

The milestone underscores the accelerating role that cryptocurrency-backed platforms are playing in cross-border payments, a segment historically dominated by traditional wire-transfer operators and money-service businesses.
